What my one to one clients are saying

Sophia, GP,

Although it took me many months to commit to the programme, due to concerns about whether coaching was for me, I have to say it was worth every single penny and more. Although I have completed the 1:1 programme, I miss it very much and shall be considering committing to ad hoc sessions.

To offer you some context, I was on maternity leave, planning my return to work as a GP with three young children. One of my main aims was to gain confidence to diversify my career, looking for alternatives to clinical work as a GP. Hafsah was so helpful, always willing to provide me with contacts. Hafsah also helped me with another key issue - balancing my work life balance (not to mention the mountain of laundry!) and helped me to connect with the Quran.

Her KLU programme content is also enlightening, and listening to it offers a stark reminder with practical tips to live your best life!

Hafsah has a unique way of connecting with others; her warmth, personal touch and willingness to go the extra mile is remarkable. Having heard from others the coaching may feel generic, Hafsah really got down to the nitty gritty and offered me a tailored and bespoke approach. She was non judgemental, making me feel at ease throughout the sessions.

What I loved the most was her ability to analyse any obstacles which stood in the way of life/deen/career goals and of course the fact that each session was thoroughly enjoyable.

At the beginning of this year I was really struggling with anxiety, hot flushes and mood swings. I would be in a constant state of worry and felt overwhelmed by things. I was conscious that I was over eating , I had cravings for sugary snacks and was aware that as a diabetic these eating habits were detrimental to my health but couldn’t resist and was generally on a downward spiral.I realised that I had to make changes for my own well being.

I began my coaching sessions with Hafsah and within just a few weeks she helped me to challenge my thought process and I became calmer and mindful of own self. I realised I was letting the past be an excuse for my present state. My defeatist attitude was gone, I realised that it was up to me to make changes to my lifestyle. I was no longer browsing in the biscuit aisle when shopping, I was eating more mindfully. I started a food log which helped me to make small manageable changes, such as no sugar in tea and less sweet things, Smaller portions.

My rage calmed down, I check my thoughts now so that I don’t overthink every little thing, Worry levels have come down. I Used to be hard on myself, seeking approval from others. I am now feeling happier with self, and my family have also noticed the positive changes I’ve implemented. I would recommend these coaching sessions to anyone wanting to begin a journey of change in their lives.

Hafsah was a wonderful coach, always encouraging and supportive, really professional. She helped me to question my mindset and gave me practical tips that I can continue with so that the changes are long term.I’m really pleased that I had these sessions and took the initiative to improve my emotional and physical well-being.

My life coaching session was a breakthrough for me as it helped build a routine for which I can fall back on anytime in my life especially the times I struggle with my diet, emotions, sadness and life itself. The sessions were eye opening and helped me. It can still be difficult at times to maintain the routine however, Hafsah's patience, perseverance, and kindness helped me through hard times as I didn’t have to feel guilt even though it’s something I suffered with and still do. But knowing I can take my time and be non-judgemental toward myself just as Hafsah was helps me a lot.

The life lessons and skills I have learned from these sessions will be something I can continue to practise for the rest of my life and I am grateful for this, as this is something I yearned for and just needed a kind, like-minded and positive person to help me achieve this. Jazak’Allahukhair for all your positive attitude and compassion.

I had been struggling with a few areas of my life and knew coaching would help me with the right coach! When I learnt Hafsah had trained to become a coach I knew I wouldn't regret the investment. I have really enjoyed working with Hafsah every week as she has shown me possibilities and ways of meeting my goals effortlessly. The coaching sessions have been having a ripple affect on many areas of my life.

I have known Hafsah for years and always loved her genuinely kind and pure soul. Therefore, working with Hafsah as my coach has given me a safe, confidential space which I can completely trust to be my raw vulnerable self

Hafsah is such an amazing and solid coach! She keenly listened to what I was saying, gave me space to explore my thoughts and gave me just enough direction to truly get the insight I needed. I've been struggling with managing my stress occasionally and after working with Hafsah I have a written plan of attack and I've made better choices around feeling stressed. She's a deep listener, helped me gain some perspective, and I could feel that she truly cared about me. Her expertise as a doctor was incredibly valuable. I would highly recommend her for anyone looking to improve their stress levels and have a higher quality of life.

"When Hafsah coaches, she does it from a genuine place of care and quality. Her skill at bringing one to a place of clarity is obvious. When I was being coached by her, she helped me to get to a place of knowing for sure where I was headed. I left the session knowing what I needed to do next. I highly recommend Hafsah as your next coach"

I have greatly benefited from having Hafsah as my coach. I am a middle-aged GP in a busy urban Practice and have been struggling a lot over the past 3-4 years with stress, burnout, escalating workload and personal issues. I was then diagnosed with diabetes. Working weekly with Hafsah has enabled me to rationalise my thoughts & set achievable goals and targets. It is clear that she puts a lot of work into our sessions and thinks in a very holistic way. I have lost 8kg in weight, my stress levels have reduced and I feel a lot more in control of my workload. This is the best I have felt for a very long time and can’t thank her enough. She shows a lot of empathy and is a great listener. I would highly recommend her as a coach.

I am a busy GP Partner, with two young children. I had been struggling with time management, and guilt around being a working mum. When I saw that Dr Qureshi was offering coaching sessions I jumped at the opportunity. Dr Qureshi over the last 4 months of coaching has given me various coping strategies to help me manage my day to day challenges. I have implemented a morning routine which has helped to put me in the right frame of mind for the coming day.

During the day, I have been given strategies on how to maximise my time and ensure that when I am with my children I can give them my full attention, rather than being distracted by my many other tasks. After completing my coaching with Dr Qureshi, I now feel more organised in my day to day life. I worry less about all the tasks that I have to do. I am able to prioritise more and have less guilt around being a working mum.

I would highly recommend coaching sessions with Dr Qureshi who has a wonderful warm and non-judgemental nature.

I felt very comfortable in expressing myself during our coaching sessions, she is very approachable, a good listener, motivator and really enhanced my confidence during our coaching sessions. I also liked how she questioned my limiting beliefs in a logical way. I would definitely recommend her as a coach! Thank you Hafsah, may God bless you and make you successful in reaching thousands.

Coaching with Hafsah has helped me stay focussed on the “why” of the changes I needed to make. The frequency of the meetings and small steps goal setting helped me progress to make the impactful changes over 3 months. I have been able to establish small sustainable actions for my well-being which overall have helped improve my family and work life balance, reframing the feelings of guilt that can occur. Being able to talk to someone from the same faith and professional background allowed me to bring all the aspects of my life to the sessions.

Sister Hafsah has been coaching me for the past 6 months. As a newly married GP trainee I was struggling to balance my personal life with my career demands, and I felt very isolated and low in mood, despite a strong Islamic faith. I was looking into counselling but decided to try coaching instead. Alhamdulillah through coaching I have felt a transformation in my marriage. I realised a lot of the issues I was having were not due to communication alone, but my perspective of the situation.

Coaching with sister Hafsah has helped me to learn how to control my emotions, how to process situations in a calm and logical manner, and how to express my needs to my husband in a way that builds love and tranquility in our marriage. I have also developed habits such as exercising, reading Qur'an regularly and making daily duaas, things I wanted to improve in myself. Sister Hafsah is a very warm, friendly and caring person, and is very easy to talk to. She offers great advice and has a breadth of experience. I would definitely recommend her as a coach, both for personal and professional growth. Her services are definitely worth the price, and she has gone above and beyond to support me in times of difficulty.

I have thoroughly enjoyed my sessions with Dr. Hafsah! As I have learnt a lot about myself internally and externally by recognising my behavior. And with Dr. Hafsah’s support and encouragement I have been able to get myself out of that stuck mindset I had before which was not growing I feel; and have started working toward mind growth in order to bring about change in myself and my relationships and live a better life.

For the last 9 years out of 10, my family life has been constantly in disputes and misunderstandings. I lived in some kind of closed cycle, arguing with my husband every 2-3 weeks, and after that, we didn’t talk for at least 1 week, and then I apologized without knowing why, and this is all because of the inability to conduct a productive dialogue and solve everything on emotions.

Thanks to my coach Hafsah for her invaluable help to me and my family thanks to her for our sessions, which lasted once a week for 4 months. She always listened to me and gave good and simple, easy to apply advice . Alhamdulillah, after finishing coaching the last two months, I feel more balanced. There is a healthier atmosphere in the house and more harmony between my husband and me. Thanks, Hafsah. May Allah accept your good deeds and reward you in both worlds.

I was going through a difficult time with work and personal circumstances and made the leap to start the 1:1 coaching sessions with sister Hafsah. I was finding work as a GP unfulfilling and didn’t know how to improve my work-life balance. I felt I was letting my emotions get the better of me and not acting as my best self. This was impacting my relationship with others. Working with Hafsah made a huge improvement to my mindset and my life.

Hafsah is patient, non judgemental and inspirational. She embodies everything that she teaches and practices. She really goes the extra mile to help and you can sense the genuine sincerity behind her actions. Hafsah helps you in a practical goal orientated way.

She has helped me developed regular Quran practice as part of my morning routine. She has helped encourage me to pray more often. Hafsah also guided me with a new habit of intermittent fasting and regular exercise. I am now working in a new job with improved job satisfaction. I cannot recommend her enough.

Life coaching with Dr Hafsah is one of the best decisions I’ve made.I was considering having a counselor or life coach for 5 years but never found someone who I could relate to as a working professional Muslimah in the medical field who could understand my circumstances and stressors.

I was so blessed to find Dr Hafsah at a BIMA conference and I’ve never looked back when I signed on for private 1 to 1 sessions.6 months ago I was incredibly stressed with personal home issues, my poor health: being clinically obese, feeling a lack of fulfillment and structure to my life. She helped me identify my values and allowed me to realise that I have a lot more control over my challenges than I thought. She was my accountability partner who helped me lose 10KG (77kg to 67kg) in 4 months with regular monitoring ensuring I weighed myself daily and a food diary. She helped give me structure to my day by developing together a personalised achievable morning and evening routine which means I started and ended my day with the remembrance of my purpose in this world which massively improved my mental health.

She is non judgemental, empathetic, encouraging and a good listener which is exactly what you need from a coach. I would highly recommend everyone going through similar difficulties to speak to Dr Hafsah.

If you’re on the fence like I was initially, I would definitely recommend the breakthrough session to gauge if it’s for you. You’ll never regret it because it’s all part of the search for help that we all may need.

I was having a hard time implementing a structure and routine in my life. I felt very disorganised, blamed others for my shortcomings and generally wasn't feeling present with my children. Although my marriage was mostly fine, I really wanted a deeper connection and to find a way to overcome negative thoughts.

Also, although I was praying 5 times a day, doing tajweed lessons and working on my deen by attending halaqa sessions, I was struggling to find that connection with Allah SWT during salah. I was anxious about the future, and felt guilty for my lack of tawakkul. I wanted to feel more organised, productive, positive and be able to spend quality time with my husband and feel like a devoted mother, all whilst deepening my connection with Allah SWT.

Dr Hafsah was so easy to talk to and never judgemental in anything that I discussed with her, and knowing that she too has struggled with similar issues, not only made it easy to open up but also gave me the hope I needed to change. She helped by giving the tools I needed to implement a realistic routine that suited me, which included deen and daily responsibilities.

She taught me how to enjoy spending time with my kids and husband. My relationship with my husband especially has become more enjoyable and it is something he too has noticed! Most importantly, she has helped me get to the route cause of what was affecting my connection with Allah SWT during salah and tawukkul. This is something I still work on, but I'm grateful that any time I fall off track, I go back to the tools she gave me to tackle these issues.

I'm so grateful for our 1-2-1 sessions and would highly recommend Dr Hafsah to anyone who needs help to figure out how best to enhance every aspect of their life.

I had been suffering from anxiety for a number of years. I would get daily heart palpitations and constantly feel fatigued. My GP recommended I start talking beta blockers but I knew this wasn’t the answer. I knew there was help out there, but not from an Islamic perspective. I was introduced to Hafsah's coaching programme through a close family member. Instantly I felt a huge weight lifted off my shoulders after our initial consultation. However I was still skeptical if this was going to work. After much thought I decided 1:1 coaching was the best option for me. As the weeks went on I started to notice changes in the way I was feeling and was conducting my everyday life. I felt at ease for the first time in years and discovered a new found connection with Allah SWT that I didn’t think could exist through the power of dua. I was also becoming more consistent with my Quran and making time for it which I previously struggled with. It further helped me rebuild my relationships, connect with my children on a one to one basis and gave me patience. I can not recommend Hafsah enough and It was one of the best decisions I made. She was very professional throughout the programme as well as accommodating and supportive. I would encourage anyone suffering to get help as it does work. Medication isn’t always the answer. I’ve not felt my anxiety in months and it’s been such a feeling of gratitude.

When I first heard about coaching I never thought I needed it or would benefit from it. I didn’t feel overwhelmed and stressed. However I did feel a little depressed, very unproductive and like I’m not living life for me anymore. Recently I had had many big changes in my life which meant I was struggling to have a routine and focus on myself. I felt like life was passing by on “autopilot” and I wasn’t “living” anymore. I was just getting through the days ticking off the everyday chores etc but not really moving forward in anything. Coaching with Hafsah has really helped me in many ways. I feel “alive” again. Her skills of thought provoking probing allowed me to realise the deeper reasons of why I want to achieve my goals. She has helped me re- connect to my bigger purpose of life and think about my bigger goals of life. She has helped me align my everyday actions with my bigger goals of life.

I feel like I am living life for “me” again and not just everyone else around me. I am now setting the agenda for how I spend my time and what I prioritise in life. I was struggling with a healthy sleep pattern and waking up early. I now have a better routine and feel excited to wake up early in the morning and start my day. She has helped me develop a morning routine which helps me feel energised and mindful for the rest of the day.

I have struggled to lose weight for a long time. Hafsa’s medical background has been key in advising me about food choices, nutritional benefits of different foods, and how to control my overeating until I reached a technique that works for me. In two months I lost 6.5 kilos which is great for me. I have always set myself goals but struggled to achieve them due to lack of perseverance. She has shown me how to practically make plans and physically work on the plans to reach my goals.

She has helped me to overcome mental obstacles which I was creating in my mind about what I can achieve. I have immigrated to another country which means I need to learn the language and look for work in my profession. She helped me realise I actually know more of the language than I realised. She helped me overcome my fears and lack of confidence in looking for work. I have been able to apply myself and improve my Arabic language significantly in just a short time. I am also hoping I will be able to work within my profession in the near future.

The experience has been life changing and I would advise everyone to try coaching. You may think like I did, that it’s not for you. But I would advise everyone to try it and no one will be disappointed.
